About Marcus
Marcus started TTM Bot in 2019 after spending 11 years in retail management and logistics. He saw how much time staff wasted copy-pasting data between old spreadsheets and stock systems. In 2021, he built the first version of our back-office bot for a local furniture shop with 3 locations. It saved their office manager 6.2 hours of admin every week by mid-October.
He doesn't like complex jargon or tech for the sake of it. He spent 4 years at a Cambridge tech firm but prefers talking about how to fix a broken CSV file. He leads our small team of 4 developers in our Cambridge office. He personally reviews every piece of code we write to make sure it's simple enough for a floor manager to use without a 50-page manual.
Marcus often handles the messy parts of automation that others avoid. Last September, he spent 14 days straight mapping out the logic for a client's complex returns process. He says that if a task takes more than 12 minutes and happens every day, it's worth a bot. He builds tools that stay running without needing constant updates or expensive maintenance.
When he isn't coding, he's usually visiting clients across the East of England. He visited 19 different retail sites in 2024 to see how staff actually touch the screens and use the tools. This hands-on approach is why our bots don't have 50 buttons. They usually have one or two that actually do the job. (He's quite stubborn about keeping things that simple).
You can book a 20-minute intro call with him directly to look at your current setup. He won't talk about a digital strategy or other fluff. He will just look at your current workflow and tell you if it can be automated or if you just need a better spreadsheet. He's honest—if he can't fix it with a simple bot, he will tell you within the first 5 minutes.
